Human rights
Our business impacts people in all parts of our value chain: our employees, operators of our equipment, our supplier employees and the local communities. We are committed to respecting the human rights of all of them. To ensure this happens, we continuously develop our human rights due diligence processes.
We also expect our suppliers and our business partners to respect human rights. In our Business Partner Code of Conduct, we have requirements for our partners related to, for example, health and safety, freedom of association as well as the prohibition of child and forced labour.
Health and safety
Keeping people safe has always been a top priority to us, and we continue to do our utmost to minimise risks to our employees’ health and safety with, for example, safety campaigns, continuous training and easy-to-use reporting channels. We always prioritise safety, even when schedules, costs or customers put pressure on us. The occupational health and safety management system ISO 45001 provides guidance and support in this work. In 2025, 76% of our production sites were ISO 45001 certified (based on headcount).
Through product design, supplier requirements and training, we aim to also minimise these risks for workers in our value chain, such as those who operate our equipment.
Our progress
Hiab's safety performance improved significantly in 2025, with an Industrial Injury Frequency Rate (IIFR) of 1.7 (2024: 2.8). The IIFR improved at production sites to 2.7 (4.2) and at non-production sites to 0.5 (2.0).

Non-discrimination and equal opportunity
Providing a fair and inclusive workplace drives innovation and growth, as it encourages individuals to reveal their knowledge and talents. We have the responsibility to ensure that people feel safe coming to work as they are and express themselves freely, and we strive to make sure that all employees have an equal opportunity to grow based on initiative, performance and excellence.
To strengthen this commitment, we have signed the Diversity Charter Finland. By signing the Charter, we pledge to provide equal opportunities, recognise individual know-how and needs, manage our employees and customers with fairness and communicate on our progress.
