Meet Eric, Field Service Technician

Since joining Hiab in January 2017, Eric has become an essential part of our service team. Before transitioning to the civilian sector, Eric served in the U.S. Navy as a Gas Turbine Systems Mechanic stationed in Yokosuka, Japan—a background that instilled in him a high level of technical discipline and precision.

A typical day for Eric is dynamic and hands-on. He spends his time traveling directly to clients to perform preventive maintenance on Hiab cranes and MOFFETT truck-mounted forklifts. When the pressure is on, Eric is the one customers rely on for breakdown calls, ensuring their equipment is back in action as quickly as possible.

For Eric, the most rewarding part of the job is the accountability that comes with representing the company.

"Working directly for Hiab makes you the face of the company," Eric says. "I take pride in building lasting relationships and providing the kind of quality repairs and service that our customers can truly trust."

When he is not on the road, Eric enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children. Together, they stay active in their local community and church. Eric is an avid fan of racing and motorsports.
