Target to grow more than 7% p.a. over the cycle
Our strong brands, high customer satisfaction, extensive global service footprint, regulatory-driven demand and significant installed base provide a strong foundation. Combined with our three strategic growth elements, we are confident in our ability to continue growing our sales with over 7% p.a. over the cycle.
These organic growth levers are supported by Hiab’s innovation and sustainability capabilities. We have a proven track record of successful M&A, and we seek to continue expanding our product portfolio and geographic reach through further acquisitions. Recent business reorganisations have optimised our internal systems, that combined with our strong financial position positions us well for future acquisitions and integrations.
The following three key growth levers will propel our future growth:

Enhanced focus on key segments
We are targeting four key segments with strong growth potential: Waste & Recycling, Defense Logistics, Retail & Final Mile, and Construction.
Expand leading position in North America
We are expanding our presence in North America by improving commercial excellence, increasing customer proximity, and leveraging local design and manufacturing.

Service growth
Our installed base of 350,000 units, with an increased share of connected and high service potential equipment, enables us to grow in Services by e.g. increasing our spare part and service contract capture rates. We target EUR 700 million in service sales by 2028.
On track to deliver 16% comparable operating profit margin in 2028
With a comparable operating profit margin of 13.2% in 2024, Hiab is well on track to reach the target of 16% in 2028. Reaching the target is based on three key levers:

Volume growth
Increasing volumes through e.g. enhanced focus on key segments, expanding leading position in North America and growth of Services.

Business excellence
Through increased optimisation of e.g. sourcing, manufacturing and commercial activities our aim is a productivity gain of 1.5% of sales per year, to be used for investments and increased profitability. Proven success stories from recent transformations of Tail Lifts and Truck Mounted Forklifts.

Improving business mix
Increasing the share of services as one of our key growth elements, combined with increasing sales of higher-margin products, will help drive increased profitability.
