14,000 hours of excellence: The HiSkill simulator is transforming operations globally

When we first introduced the HiSkill crane operator training simulator, we knew the combination of virtual reality and real-world controls would change how operators learn. Today, it’s no longer just an innovative concept. It’s a proven, widely adopted solution driving safety, cost-reduction, and efficiency across the industry.

We are proud to announce a major milestone: operators globally have now completed approximately 14,000 hours of training using HiSkill. That translates to 14,000 hours of risk-free, emission-free, and highly effective skills development. As the official distributor of Hiab equipment in Ukraine, U-Crane has successfully deployed the HiSkill simulator with several customers. In rescue and rebuilding efforts in particular, customers benefit from a highly realistic virtual training environment that closely mirrors operating an actual crane in demanding conditions.  

But at Hiab, we don't stand still. We continuously listen to customer feedback to refine our smart solutions. To ensure the best possible user experience, we have made a number of recent developments, including: 

• The HiSkill Support Hub: A new online help center with easy-to-follow guides and setup materials for both administrators and operators.
• Safety-critical training improvements: Our folding, stowing, and unfolding lessons have been improved to better align with real-world, configuration-specific procedures and requirements.  
• A simplified setup: We have upgraded our systems so that VR headsets now start the training environment automatically. This provides a true "plug-and-play" experience, allowing operators to start learning immediately without needing to learn how to use the headset's operating system.
• Hardware compatibility: HiSkill kits now support state-of-the-art standalone VR headsets, complete with region-specific configurations.
• Additional language versions: In addition to English, training is now available in Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Swedish, Finnish and Ukrainian.

We also want to make deploying this technology as frictionless as possible. The HiSkill simulator kit is now in stock and readily available on the Hiab Webshop, enabling rapid delivery within 3–5 business days. This means you can bypass long equipment lead times and begin scaling your training operations within days.
